  • David Gordon

    DVM

    Dr. David Gordon received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from UC Davis in 1977. His degree in veterinary medicine took a circuitous route, first starting in California and ending in Italy where he graduated from the University of Perugia in 1983. From 1987 to the present, Dr.Gordon has been the owner and then medical director of VCA Arroyo Animal Hospital. He has guided its growth from a 1250 square foot strip-mall space to its current 8000 square foot freestanding building. In his spare time he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, physical fitness, and coaching various youth sports teams. He and his wife Sharon share their home with their two teenagers, Daniel and Adam, along with a new addition, little Chauncey a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • Adam Lassin, CVA

    DVM

    Dr. Adam Lassin grew up in Bucks County Pennsylvania with his parents, two bothers, and a house full of dogs. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Animal and Veterinary Science from West Virginia University in 2006. He continued his education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical year at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Adam received his doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2010 from Ross University. Following veterinary school he completed an intense one year internship at BrightHeart Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Long Island New York. He is a Certified Small Animal Veterinary Acupuncturist via the prestigious Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for Small Animal Acupuncture. Dr. Adam is currently in the process of becoming certified in Veterinary Food Therapy. He plans to continue his studies until he is certified in Veterinary Herbology and Tui Na (Chinese Medical Message). Dr. Adam enjoys the beach, ocean, playing volleyball, diving, snorkeling, hiking, traveling, snowboarding, cooking, playing the saxophone and cheering for his favorite sports teams. He loves spending time with his two "kids", Gianna a DSH rescue from St. Kitts and Zaria a DSH rescue from long island New York.

  • Lisa Buehler

    DVM

    Dr. Lisa Buehler earned her veterinary medicine degree from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2010. She joined VCA Arroyo after a 1 year rotating internship at VCA California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. During her internship she concentrated on internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, and neurology. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at California State Polytechnic University Pomona. She is happy to return to her hometown of Orange County to practice and live with her two cats, Norman and Scott. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, fishing, sewing and playing new sports.

  • Jamie Ota

    DVM

    Dr. Ota grew up in Southern California and worked at several veterinary hospitals while in high school and college. She attended UC San Diego and completed a degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Spanish Literature. Dr. Ota received her veterinary degree from UC Davis in 2009 and then completed a small animal rotating internship at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital in Santa Rosa. She started with VCA in 2010 and joined VCA Arroyo Animal Hospital in July 2013.Her professional interests include surgery, critical care and avian medicine. Dr. Ota lives with her husband, daughter, two small dogs (Tita and Scrappy) and two leopard geckos. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, photography, hiking and spending time with her family.
